A little history about our flagship store
Our flagship store is in Crystal Palace and we will be opening our second workshop in the historic Barbican area in 2022. The history of the Crystal Palace store goes right back a century ago to 1922! In the 1940s the store was called Central Cycle, owned and run by the Talbot family; father H.J. Talbot, daughter Margaret and son Geoff. Central Cycle closed in 2010, and following major renovations to the site in 2011 Blue Door Bicycles was born under the ownership of David Hibbs. The company ran for eight years until closed in September 2019.
Blue Door Bicycles re-opened in early 2020 under the ownership of Andrew MacLugash which saw the business go from strength to strength. From this, Fix This Bike was set up in 2021, allowing us to reach and service customers all throughout London.
